Behavior Change Communication (BCC) is a structured approach to influencing knowledge, attitudes and behaviors at individual, community and national levels. Traditionally, BCC relied on mass communication and printed materials, but these methods often lacked personalization and depth. With the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), BCC is undergoing a transformation. AI technologies such as personalization engines, predictive analytics, conversational agents and generative tools are now being applied to strengthen BCC interventions. This chapter explores how AI enhances BCC by making communication more adaptive, interactive and evidence-based. It highlights applications in health, environment, nutrition and social development, while also addressing ethical and legal considerations. The discussion concludes that AI-driven BCC offers powerful opportunities for sustainable social transformation, provided privacy, fairness and inclusivity are safeguarded.
